Dear guests, today we want to write about another village apart from Salobreña and Almuñecar that you can find near your house. Vélez de Benaudalla is a little white village famous for its impressive cliffs called the Azud de Vélez. When you take your car to this pintoresque village, you follow a little river between these enormous cliffs: the views, the air, the water: everything is so natural! The village is up in the hill, so the road will turn a bit difficult, but it's worthy. You should pass an afternoon or morning in this historic place! 
However, the mos interesting elements of Vélez de Benaudalla are its castle and its nasrid garden, the first one is famous because of its stunning view from every corner of the village and the second one is known as the little Generalife. If you go there, we recommend you to visit the following places:

  • The Nasrid Garden
  • The Castle of the Ulloa
  • The church of Nuestra Señora del Rosario
  • The Gastro-Museum of Andalusian Oil 

You should also visit its bakeries because Vélez is well-known for its confectionery industry! If you wanna eat there, take our advice and go to Hostal La Brasa or to Mesón Nacimiento, you won't repent!
