TOP 5 reason why you should visit the Costa Tropical in the Spanish “winter”

Published:

Dear guests,

Have you ever wondered about doing it like many birds and flying in the winter to the South? Well, at least I would love to give you some great reasons why you may do exactly that.

The Costa Tropical’s nature is flurishing in the “winter” months and in spring. Migratory birds from all across Europe come and spend the winter months here or in close-by Africa. They are attracted by the very mild climate of the region with temperatures between 12 – 17 degrees during the day, as well as the average of not less than 6 hours of full sunshine per day. Birdwatching is a fun activity not only for locals, but also an excellent way to educate your kids about nature.

This favorable microclimate is certainly not only great for birds, but also for us Central and Northern Europeans, who often desperately seek to catch some sunshine and thereby vital Vitamins, e.g. Vitamnin B12, which are at home scarcely provided during the grey and cold winter month.

A big plus of the region is that the climate is changing drastically when you move inland torwards Granada (just 80km away). There you cannot only expect snow in the Sierra Nevada (~1 hour drive), but you will also find one of Europe’s best skiing regions with great conditions for skiing.

You have heard right! Guaranteed snow at in the Sierra Navada and its skiing regions and at the same time warm sunshine and mild temperatures at the close-by Costa.

Additional advantages of coming to the Costa Tropical in winter are:

1 # Nature is flourishing (not as hot as in summer)

2# Very mild climate and a lot of sunshine (average of 6 hours and more per day)

3# Sightseeing in less crowded cities and towns and more friendly locals.

4# Significantely better value for money with respect to accommodation, flights and car rentals.

5# Plenty of cultural events and markets in November, December, January, February and March.

Stay in one of our villas with heated pool and jacuzzi! Feel free to bring your skis!

If you and your family still prefer to come during the summer month, well then you are also very welcome to do that. Especially a jacuzzi can be great fun for kids and adults year-round.

See you next winter (or summer)! It is up to you! 🙂
