Christmas in Granada

Published:

Dear guest, below I will detail the main attractions during Christmas in Granada. If you are in one of our villas during these dates, I advise you to visit the city of Granada one day. There are several attractions during Christmas.

CHRISTMAS MARKETS IN GRANADA

Granada already has enough artisan markets throughout the year. That is why I recommend that you get lost in the streets of Granada to find many of these markets that will surely attract your attention.
Where will we find Christmas markets in Granada? On the Paseo de la Virgen there are always handicraft markets in addition to exhibitions. When the Christmas season arrives, El Corte Inglés, which is right in front of this promenade, puts on many Christmas markets with products of its brand. They are very well decorated and well worth a visit.
You can also find Christmas markets in the Plaza De la Fuente de las Batallas, a meeting point for thousands of people from Granada when they decide to meet for a drink or simply enjoy a nice walk through Granada.
Plaza Bib-Rambla is another of the places in Granada that does not miss its appointment every Christmas to group many Christmas markets between its buildings.

CHRISTMAS LIGHTS IN GRANADA

Do not miss the Christmas lights in Granada, they have a lot of charm and make the nights magical. Buy fritters with hot chocolate and enjoy the Christmas decorations. You will see 271 arches through the streets, 29 decorated on street lamps and 4 trees lined entirely with LED lights.

SIMPLE CHRISTMAS SIGNS
When you walk through the center of Granada, you will see that there are some very nice signs as if you were in the house of Santa Claus, in Lapland. They have been set to guide both the tourist and the local citizen towards the Christmas decorations and activities. It is certainly curious to see because it is very well decorated.

GRANADA PASSABLE SPHERE
One of the novelties this Christmas in Granada is the walkable area located at the end of the Carrera de la Virgen just when you reach the Plaza de la Fuente de las Batallas. In this sphere you can go under to move from one location to another while the sphere lights up and even music plays.

Granada's passable sphere is 12 meters high and can be seen from different areas of Puerta Real. You cannot miss the music and light shows that take place at 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.

VISIT THE PLAZA BIB-RAMBLA DE GRANADA
Between the City Hall and the Cathedral of Granada is the Plaza Bib-Rambla. One of the squares with the longest Christmas tradition in Granada, which always dresses up at this time to receive both tourists and locals. Unlike in Plaza del Carmen and even with more buildings than in said plaza, there have never been problems to host activities throughout the year and not at Christmas either.

In Plaza Bib-Rambla you can find Christmas markets, many things to see in Granada with children and even handcrafted nativity scenes where you can see the famous figurines in detail.

WALK THROUGH THE ALBAICÍN NEIGHBORHOOD OF GRANADA

Because this neighborhood is not only visited in spring, fall and summer. The Albaicín neighborhood also has a very special Christmas decoration. Squares and houses decorated in detail to make your neighborhood shine with more light.

IN SEARCH OF THE THREE KINGS IN GRANADA
It turns out that other previous years have put 3 Wise Men with lights in some parts of the city. This year you can find them in another of the most historic squares in Granada, Plaza Nueva.
The truth is that the location is ideal and you can see the famous Torre de la Vela de la Alhambra, as well as the Church of Santa Ana.

ZIP LINES FOR ADULTS AND KIDS. ADVENTURE PARK
If you are an adventurer, we invite you to ride these Christmas zip lines for both children and adults. Granada is cool at Christmas and thanks to these activities it's twice as cool.
The zip line with sled is for kids and they can feel the sensation of being Santa Claus in his sleigh for a while. Isn't it cool?
The price of the zip lines is:
• Adults: 6 euros
• Children: 5 euros
The Christmas Adventure Park will test the balance and dexterity of all who challenge them to this great forest.

Dear guest, the experience of visiting Granada during Christmas will be unforgettable for you and your family. I am sure you will love it!
