Almuñécar plans the construction of a marina

The Junta de Andalucía has shown its support for the project to build a new marina in the municipality of Almuñécar (Granada), which would have an investment of just over 31 million euros.
 
The project, promoted in the last year by the Almuñécar City Council, would be carried out in the Fuente Piedra area between Las Góndolas and the Aquatropic, it would have 450 moorings, for boats from 10 to 40 meters in length. Another outstanding detail is that it will have more than 2,000 m2 of deck, 11,400 m2 to generate power to be self-sufficient, becoming the first in port to achieve this. It will also have a viewpoint of more than 2,000 m2, a commercial area of ​​3,300 m2. With these data it would become the largest in the province of Granada, even larger than the marina of Marina del Este and the Real Club Náutico de Motril.
 
In regard to the investors, it is unknown who they are, no information has been provided about them, only that they are businessmen from Granada who would invest about 31 million euros in the construction of the port.
 
Regarding the forecasts of how many jobs will be created. The following information has been provided:
  •      15 direct jobs at the marina
  •      400 direct jobs in construction
  •      240 indirect jobs in the service area.
