Castle of Salobreña: a historic relict of the caliphs

The Moorish castle of Salobreña We love to show you not only some highlights of the region Costa Tropical, but also some of the unique local attractions, which you could - and should - visit during your stay in Salobreña. Talking about unique local attraction we shall not forget to mention on of the most important monuments of Salobreña, the “Castillo de Salobreña”. The castle’s origins date back to the era of the “Nazarí” (in Arabic بنو نصر banū Naṣr) dynasty. The same dynasty has constructed the Alhambra of Granada, which is one of the main treasures of Muslim culture of all times.
