Sierra Nevada: the highest mountain in the Iberian Peninsula

Published:

The ski and mountain resort of Sierra Nevada, located in the Sierra Nevada National Park, as an essential part of the tourist offer in Andalusia and an international benchmark for snow tourism, allows for its privileged location to enjoy an enviable climate while practicing sport or nature is contemplated. The southernmost ski resort in Europe offers visitors excellent snow facilities less than two hours from the coast and a few kilometers from the monumental and historic city of Granada.

The highest peak in this National Park is Mulhacen, which, with an altitude of 3482.6 meters above sea level, is the highest peak in the Iberian Peninsula. Although its height is not exceptional, Mulhacen is the highest peak in the Iberian Peninsula and in Europe outside of the Caucasus and the Alps, since the Canary Islands and Greenland, with higher peaks, belong politically to Europe, but geographically they are part from Africa and North America, respectively.

Dear guest, if during your stay you plan to visit Granada, I recommend visiting Sierra Nevada, it will be an unforgettable experience! Here is the link of Google Maps:
