La Herradura – The gemstone of the Costa Tropical
Dear fellow sun fancier,
You wanna experience the warm sunny heart of Andalusia? You want to watch fiery red sunsets? Then we have something for you: La Herradura, the gemstone of the unspoilt Costa Tropical!
One of the main reasons to leave the often crowded Costa del Sol (Provicne of Málaga) is the still natural environment and the more relaxed authentic Andalusian atmosphere of the Costa Tropical (Province of Granada).
This Andalusian coastal town has just about 4.500 inhabitants, but it is well-know with adrinaline sport fans. You can dare to paraglide or just lean back in your sunlunger and enjoy the panoramic view from your luxury villa.
Paragliding in La Herradura
Restaurante: “Bambú” at the Playa de La Herradura
Opening times (full menu available): From 10:00 a.m. – 00:00 p.m.
Address: Paseo Marítimo Andrés Segovia – Playa de La Herradura
You can enjoy pure relaxation at one of the cosy beach restaurants (called “chiringuitos”) and enjoy an ice-cold drink (here our photographer Johannes enjoys a Mojito). In particular La Herradura stands out with its charming little city center, which is surrounded by the headlands of “Cerro Gordo” and “Punta de la Mona”. Both spots are highly renown with frequent visitors of the Costa Tropical.
Stunning view from the Villa El Marchante
The house faces La Herradura Bay, enjoying stunning views of the town, Mediterranean sea and the natural reserve of Cerro Gordo. The pool surrounded by the beautiful garden and lawn is set a little away from the house, with shower, bar and dining facilities.
The spacious house is cool in summer and warm in winter, with new modern style fireplace and air conditioning in every room, including in the kitchen and in the hall. The 5 ensuite bedrooms create a sense of comfort and relaxation.
